Collaborating Creatively

slatevfx featured in ACFIPS’ a NSW Government Training Advisory Body’s Autumn Newsletter. We are committed to mentoring new talent.

‘We know there are talented students coming up through the education system and we want to work together to enable those students to find pathways that let their talents and dedication be recognised and developed,’ said Elizabeth Henry from Slatevfx.

‘With the support of ACFIPs, Training Services NSW and the ATC networks we were able to start the application process and eventually find our first trainee – Ashley Rome-Hinson. He will undertake a Cert IV in Screen and Media at Ultimo TAFE.’

It would be hard to be more excited than Ashley. ‘In the senior years of high school it was my dream to be involved in post-production. To be able to come straight out of school into an opportunity of this magnitude is uplifting and insightful. I am already learning so much and having so much fun. The commute takes a while, but I use the time to keep up-to-date with my course and training. I am really happy.’

‘Slatevfx is dedicated to developing talent that will sustain the ongoing growth of the film and TV industry in Australia,’ Elizabeth Henry added.
